Ceremonials, Events and Institutions as Types

Passover (Ex. 12:11) Christ our Redeemer (Jn. 1:29; 1Cor. 5:6-7; 1Pet. 1:18-19)
Burnt offering (Lev. 1:3-17) Christ's total surrender to God on behalf of the believer (Heb. 12:2-3) and His emptying of Himself to become sin for the sinner (2Cor. 5:21; Phil. 2:6-8)
Sweet-aroma offering (Lev. 1:9) Christ in His own perfections and in His affectionate devotion to His Father's will
Peace offering (Lev. 3:1) Christ who (1)made peace (Col. 1:20); (2)preached peace (Eph. 2:17); and (3)is our peace (Eph. 2:14)
Sin offering (Lev. 4:3) Christ laden with the believer's sin (2Cor. 5:21; 1Pet. 2:24)
Trespass offering (Lev. 5:6) Christ as the only remaining sacrifice for all sin and trespasses (Rom. 8:3-4; 1Jn. 1:7)
The Passover feast (Lev. 23:5) "Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed" (1Cor. 5:7)
The Feast of Unleavened Bread (Lev. 23:6) The Believer's communion with Christ in the full blessing of His redemption and of a holy walk. The order is, first, redemption, then, holy living (1Cor 5:6-8; 2Cor. 7:1; Gal. 5:7-9)
The Feast of Firstfruits (Lev. 23:10) Resurrection, first of Christ, then of those who are His at His coming (1Cor. 15:23; 1Thes. 4:13-18)
The Feast of Weeks (Lev. 23:16) The descent of the Holy Spirit to form the Church. For this reason, leaven is present, because there is evil in the Church   (Mt. 13:33; Acts 5:1-10; 15:1)
The Feast of Trumpets (Lev. 23:24) The future regathering of long-dispersed Israel (Isa. 18:3; 27:13; Joel 2:1-3:21)
Sabbath (Num. 15) Rest in God (Heb. 3-4)
